I am a Navy wife, mom of two plus our pup Lona. Beach girl at heart, but will escape to the mountains when they call. My husband took me on my first hike when I visited him Guam. Ever since then I found any excuse to go out and find a trail to explore. I've hiked trails in Guam, Hawaii, Florida and Washington. Hiking is just one of many things I enjoy to do, I also enjoy paddleboarding, snorkeling, diving amd camping. I love being outdoors and I love that I get to share my love for it with my 3 year old and 5 month old.
Favorite Adventure: Hiking Colchuck Lake with my son when he was 1.5 years old for my birthday. I plan to go back when he's older and hike it with him and possibly explore more of the Enchantment trail.
Favorite snack: M&Ms, sunflower seeds and homemade jerky my husband makes.
Hiking with my toddler and baby girl I'll always have extra extra snacks, wipes, and band-aids for those clumsy falls.

Hello there! My name is Stephanie and I currently reside in Georgia where my husband Luke is Active Duty Air Force stationed at Moody AFB. We’ve got two spoiled pups, Walter and Hank, that love to join us on our adventures and we wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve been in love with the outdoors since I was a kid but it wasn’t until my early 20s that I began tent camping and hiking and I haven’t looked back since. I love snowshoeing, hiking, fishing, kayaking, gardening, camping, and cooking – there’s nothing better than a meal prepared in a cast iron dutch oven over an open fire.* To me, nature has always had a way of healing my soul and getting outdoors refreshes and revitalizes my spirit like nothing else. In the words of the great naturalist and writer John Muir, “Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.” (Our National Parks, 1901, p.56)
Favorite Adventure: My husband and I were able to backpack the entire Georgia section of the Appalachian Trail over 10 days and it was such a rewarding (and challenging!) experience. The mountains in North Georgia are beautiful, especially in the fall, and following the white blazes for 80ish miles was such a neat experience. My favorite day hike by far is the Green Monarch Ridge Trail with breathtaking views of beautiful Lake Pend Oreille in the Idaho panhandle.
Favorite Trail Snack: CLIF bars, Gu, and Buddy Fruits (the multifruit is the best!)
I always pack extra water and plenty of snacks – no one wants to be dehydrated or hangry. And I never leave home without bug spray or chapstick.
